All Things Wooden

We here at Nelliefay.com love things made of wood. We like to make things out of wood from time to time. We like the smell of wood. We like to discuss different species of wood with our friends...some of whom even listen. When a beautiful object is made from a beautiful piece of wood and finished in a careful way, there's almost nothing like it. There are some very exciting things happening with wood finishes these days. I came across a new soy based finish the other day in a wood magazine, and it made me happy.

So with all that setup, I guess we really should be announcing some kind of new wood product in our store, right? We agree. Coming very soon are some very cool wooden toys. And then more to follow that as well.

Doing some Upgrades

Well, I've heard and read that an economic downturn is the best time to start or strengthen a business. It's probably also the scariest. We've taken a bit of a low profile lately, but we've done some upgrading and we're sticking our head out there again...

It's interesting watching the rest of the online retail world through all of this. I have to say, I've never in my life seen so many sales at one time...constantly in progress. If you don't have a sale going, good luck to ya.

Thanks for stopping by. There should be a whole lot soon about everything from our favorite products in our store and elsewhere, to how hard it is (for us) to be "good" parents. Much of what we go on about will probably be tinged with "eco" this or "organic" that, because it's been on our minds for a good long while now. We have kids; we have pets; we have friends.
